Home for the Weekend

Heading home today for Memorial Day weekend in Seattle and deucejing’s wedding.  Unfortunately, Mochi won’t be making the trip and Dad is in Brazil so it won’t quite be a full family reunion.  But it’s always good to go home and I’m looking forward to it.

East Coast Trip

I’m looking forward to our 4th of July weekend trip to New York and Boston.
Mostly because our baseball tickets came today — we’ll see the Mariners at the new Yankee Stadium and then at Fenway.

Super Bowl: Advertising’s Finest 4-Hours

Even though I missed most of the game this year, I was able to catch the highlights on ESPN and, more importantly, review the ads at Hulu.com.  For me, there weren’t too many standouts this year.  I did like this Doritos commercial though.

Ever notice how advertisers before the Super Bowl don’t use the actual words [...]

Best Christmas Tradition Ever

Each year, all the guys bring 12 assorted bottles of beer, and we lay them all out on the floor and take turns, draft style, selecting ones we want until they’re all gone.  This year’s selections included:
Delerium Tremens – an 8.5% alcohol Belgian brew
HeBREW Rejewvenator – “the chosen beer”
Caledonia Golden Promise Ale – the world’s [...]
