Now that summer’s here, I’ve been trying to run earlier in the day before it gets too hot. But on my way out the door this morning I go to turn on the tunes and … nothing. Battery’s dead.
Do I plug it in for a few minutes and hope it lasts? I don’t know, it’s already pretty warm…
The dilemma illustrated:

So I ran 50 minutes in silence. It wasn’t actually that bad, but I think next time I can sacrifice a degree or two in exchange for a soundtrack.
Did You Know?
Apparently my graph is inaccurate. According to WikiAnswers.com, iPod charging is not linear. An hour of charging can get you to 80% battery life, but it will take 3 hrs to fill ‘er up completely. So that just goes to confirm I probably could have gotten 50 minutes of use from just a quick charge. Next time.
