So I went almost 24 years before my first trip to Las Vegas, and now I’ve been 3 times since then, with another trip planned for May (Jing Jing’s bachelor party). I’m not much of a gambler, but I love the scale and atmosphere there. They’ve built an artificial world in the middle of the desert.
My most recent trip was for Affiliate Summit West, the largest conference in the affiliate marketing (that’s what I do) industry. It was my first time attending, and it was definitely a little overwhelming. But it was a great opportunity to meet with some of the people I’ve been working with via email — for years, in some cases — and finally put faces to names. Working from home can be isolating, and it was cool to go and be a part of this larger community.
